Johnson State College - Parent Newsletter: Family Link
Description:After working on the Johnson State College site build-out, HINGE was contacted to create a sub-site to serve as a newsletter for parents of new students. The site needed to reflect the main JSC site, yet have it's own identity. They also wanted a template designed for an email newsletter promoting the site.
Strategy:HINGE was commissioned to develop a sub-site that worked within the ASP.NET infrastructure of the Johnson State College(JSC)/Vermont State Colleges system. We designed the interface around the already established site and integrated a banner that was designed by the JSC staff. A template-based system enables the JSC staff to create and update pages using Adobe's Contribute in a web based environment. The template system utilizes template properties which give the editor control over various sidebar blocks, to include at their discretion. Finally, a method of archiving the issues was established as a resource and reference bank.
