Vermont Archaeology Month
Description:Each September a conglomerate of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions partner to put on a month long series of events focusing on archaeology in Vermont. The lead organizer, Vermont Archaeological Society, needed a straightforward site they could use year after year to display information about each event. They also wanted to provide recognition to all the partners and sponsors of VAM, attract new event hosts, and provide a list of resources for those interested in learning more about archaeology.
Strategy:HINGE designed this site to display an interactive calendar accessible from all pages, allowing site visitors to view a day, week, or month view of upcoming events for the Vermont Archaeology Month. Each event displayed on any given day can be selected for detailed information and directions. A page was created for resource listings as was one created to thank partners and sponsors, including links to each of their respective sites. Two e-contact forms were custom created: one for those interested in hosting an event and one for those wanting general information about VAM.
